MobileBiz Pro's standard PDF generation uses an online service, so it requires an internet connection. When you're offline — or if the service is temporarily unavailable — the Print as HTML option lets you create a PDF directly on your device.
Steps
-
Open the invoice you want to convert to a PDF.
-
Tap the share icon in the action bar (top right of the invoice screen).
-
Choose "Print as HTML (no internet)" from the menu.

-
Your browser opens the invoice as an HTML page — it looks similar to the PDF version.
-
Open your browser's menu and choose Print (or Share > Print).

-
Select "Save as PDF" as the printer destination. On most Android devices this is available by default.
-
Tap Save — the PDF is saved to your device's Downloads folder.
-
Share the PDF — open it from your Downloads folder and tap the share icon to attach it to an email, send via WhatsApp, or share any other way.
Which Option Should I Use?
| Method | Requires Internet | Quality | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard PDF | Yes | Highest — uses your full template | Everyday sending |
| Print as HTML | No | Good — renders in your browser | Offline situations |
The HTML version uses your invoice data and basic formatting but may differ slightly from your PDF template design.
Good to Know
- Chrome and Firefox both support "Save as PDF" on Android. If you don't see the option in your current browser, try a different one.
- The HTML invoice still includes your company name, line items, totals, taxes, and payment terms — everything the customer needs.
- This method works for any transaction type: invoices, quotes, sales orders, and cash sales.
- Once you have internet again, use the standard PDF option for your template-formatted version.
