Print Receipts with a Bluetooth Thermal Printer

MobileBiz Pro prints compact receipts to a Bluetooth thermal printer — the same kind used at market stalls and counters. An inexpensive generic 58mm printer (the $20–40 kind) works fine. Here's how to pair one and print your first receipt.

What You'll Need

Before you start:

  • A Bluetooth thermal receipt printer, charged and switched on.
  • Receipt printing is a Plus feature. See About Plus.

Steps

  1. Pair the printer in your phone's Bluetooth settings first. Open your phone's Settings › Bluetooth, put the printer in pairing mode, and tap it to pair. MobileBiz Pro only lists printers your phone has already paired.

  2. In MobileBiz Pro, open the side menu and tap Settings. Under Invoicing & documents, tap Receipt printer.

  3. Pick your printer. If nothing is set up yet, tap Change and choose your printer from the paired list. The selected printer shows in a highlighted card at the top.

  4. Set the paper width. Under Receipt size, tap 58 mm or 80 mm to match your printer's paper. Most compact printers use 58 mm — the default.

  5. Tap Test print. A short test receipt prints. If you see Test receipt sent, you're ready. If it says it couldn't connect, make sure the printer is on and in range, then try again.

  6. Print from a sale. Open any invoice, cash sale, or other transaction, tap the send/share button, and choose Print receipt. The receipt preview opens — tap Print to send it to your printer.

Good to Know

  • Don't see your printer in the list? Pair it in your phone's Settings › Bluetooth first, then return to the Receipt printer screen.
  • Your printer choice is saved to this phone only — it never transfers to another device, since a Bluetooth pairing is tied to the specific phone.
  • Adjust the Text size on the same screen if the print is too small or too wide for your paper.
  • If a printer you unpaired still shows as saved, the app flags it and asks you to pick another — so a test or print never dead-ends.
  • Receipts work for invoices, cash sales, and other transaction types — reach Print receipt the same way from each.
