How to Add Shipping Charges to an Invoice

Shipping charges are added directly from the Edit menu on any invoice, quote, sales order, or cash sale. You can pick an existing shipping method or create a new one on the spot.

Steps

  1. Open the invoice you want to add shipping to.

Invoice Items tab showing line items and summary totals

  2. Tap the Edit icon (pencil) in the action bar, then tap Add Shipping — a bottom sheet appears showing your available shipping methods.

  3. Pick an existing method from the Available Methods list, or tap + New Shipping Method to create one.

  4. If creating a new method, enter the shipping method name (e.g., "Fedex"), an optional description, and the rate. Tap Save.

New Shipping Method form with name, description, and rate fields

  5. The shipping charge appears as a line item on the invoice, and the Shipping total in the summary updates immediately.

Good to Know

  • Reusable methods. Any shipping method you create is saved to your items list and available on future transactions.
  • Works everywhere. Shipping is available on invoices, quotes, sales orders, and cash sales.
  • Non-taxable shipping. To make a shipping method non-taxable, uncheck Taxable on the item record.
  • Variable rates. Leave the default rate blank and enter the exact amount each time you add it to a transaction.
