How to Add Photos to a Customer or Vendor

Attach photos to any customer or vendor record for your own reference — job site conditions, location shots, ID documents, equipment to be serviced, and more. These photos are private and are never included in invoices, PDFs, or emails.

What You'll Need

Before you start: Contact photos are a Plus feature with a free trial available. The trial starts the first time you add a photo to any customer or vendor. A countdown banner on the Photos tab shows how many trial days remain.

Steps

Open the Photos Tab

  1. Tap Customers on the main Dashboard to open your contact list.

  2. Tap the customer or vendor you want to add photos to.

  3. Tap the Photos tab on the contact detail screen. It appears after the Notes tab.

Add a Photo

  1. Tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.

  2. Choose your source:

    • Camera — take a new photo on the spot
    • Gallery — pick an existing image from your device

  3. Your photo appears in the grid. If you have a Plus subscription, it uploads to MobileBiz cloud in the background — a small cloud icon appears on the thumbnail once the upload completes.

Add a Description

  1. Long-press a thumbnail to open the edit panel.

  2. Type a description in the field that appears, then tap Save. Descriptions appear below each thumbnail in the grid.

View, Zoom, and Share

  1. Tap any thumbnail to open the full-screen gallery.

  2. Swipe left or right to move between photos. Pinch or double-tap to zoom in.

  3. Tap the share icon in the top bar to share a photo via any app on your device.

Delete a Photo

  1. Long-press the thumbnail you want to remove.

  2. Tap Delete in the edit panel that appears.


Good to Know

  • You can attach up to 30 photos per customer.
  • Photos on this tab are never sent to your customer. They do not appear in any invoice, estimate, PDF, or email. If you want photos included in a document, attach them to the invoice instead — see How to Add Photos to Invoices.
  • The Photos tab appears on both customer and vendor detail screens.
  • All photos remain visible even if your Plus subscription ends — you just can't add new ones without an active subscription.
